Majek Fashek, King Sunny Ade, Kcee, others to headline Lagos music festival

Reggae music legend, Majek Fashek is due to return to the stage this season, as he joins King Sunny Ade, D’banj, Iyanya and Phyno to thrill music lovers at this year’s Lagos Music Festival. *Majek Fashek The music festival is billed to hold at its regular venue, Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac on March 18. Other artistes on the line up include, Harrysong, Timaya, Tekno, Orisefemi, Olamide, Lil Kesh, Omawumi, Niger Raw, Ketchup, Wande Coal, Ruffcoin Nwa-Aba, Sound Sultan, Patoranking,  Adekunle Gold, CDQ-Shales, Orezi, Pasuma, Marvelous Benji, Rayce, Ycee among others. Unveiling the artistes at a press parley during the week, “ Limpopo”  crooner, Kcee representing Five Star Music, organizers of the annual music  fiesta  said, this year’s festival promises  to be an interplay of music, comedy and inventive culinary expression. Unlike the previous editions, Kcee said, this year’s festival which is being organized in conjunction with Golden Tulip Hotel, would not only be mind-blowing, but also, it would create a perfect blend of old and new performers. The music festival was established about four years ago to re-emphasize the importance of Festac town as the capital of art and music in Nigeria, having hosted the Second World Festival of Black Arts and Culture back in 1977.
